Hi there daydreamer2!
Great discussion you have here. :) My all time favorite author would be Nicholas Sparks. He was really a great writer and he was even the first writer to bring tears to my eyes! The book was entitled "Message in a Bottle" and I loved the way he crafted the novel only through focusing on one central theme, the title itself. It's a love story between two lovers, a guy who can't get over with her past love; this story is tells more about moving on and being brave enough to take risks and new life. I'll never forget the story lines in the book and this one's my favorite which was said by Theresa Osborne (the fictional female character in the book)
If some lives form a perfect circle, other take shape in ways we cannot predict or always understand. Loss has been part of my journey. But it has also shown me what is precious. So has love for which I can only be grateful.
Really beautiful. :)
So my other favorites would be Neil Gaiman- He's a great fantasy writer :) And of course Dan Brown, (his Angels and Demons is great) man, I have many favorite writers I just can't remember their names co'z what I would often recall are their works. :)

I like Nora Roberts, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, and Linda Howard if I want to read romance.
I also love Christian writers like Max Lucado, and Joyce Meyer.
The ladies that Travel with the Women of Faith Conferences: Beth Moore, Jennifer Rothchild, Sheila Walsh, Thelma Wells, Nichole JOhnson and Patsy Clairmont provide entertainment as well as inspiration.
Then there is Christian fiction writers like Lori Wick, Karen Kingsbury and Dee Henderson.

My favorite authors would be Dean Koontz and Stephen King. I can read anything by them. I like Stephanie Meyer for the Twilight Series but can't seem to get into her other book, The Host. I guess it depends on how I feel at the time, but I'm trying to branch out to read more writers.

My first choice is Anne Rice, then stephanie meyer. I like a lot of other books and authors, but I've read everything by those two and like every single book.

My first choice is J.k Rowling too because I love all of the Harry Potter books, i have re-read each a countless number of times, Stephen King because he is a great horror writer, and I love Dean Koontz, a lot of people think he is like Stephen King but he is not at all "The Watchers" is one of the best books Dean Koontz wrote and I like it better than any King book

I haven't read any of the books written by Joshua Harris... so i will just choose between J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer... and well... i choose J.K. Rowling... i read the Harry Potter Series and just recently the Twilight Series... and i must say that the former is written better than the latter... i can read the first over and over again... and wouldn't even get tired or bored doing that... but with the Twilight Series... there is just a lot of boring moments... like the story could have been fitted into just 2 or 3 books... but they were extended into four... there are a lot of stuff that could have been removed... but i think it is still a good series... but Harry Potter is the greatest...
