How to get a US bank account?

Hi friends, I have seen in many discussions that we can open an US bank account from other countries? Have any one opened it? If so can you give the steps and details about it.

what's it for if you have usa account, i canot understand why you need it if you are a non-usa people, oh...don't try it, it's impossible to get it,

I don't think its possible with out a perma address in the USA cause when you open a bank you give them your address, but i believe you can make a paypal account and get a paypal credit card and use that for transactions in other country's and it should auto charge the money to the right currency im not sure though so if it doesnt work dont blame me read up on it a bit. But as far as i know its not possible to open a usa account with out a usa address.
