i have a friend who doesn't allow her househelp to prepare the meals for her kids.the house help is there to help, i just can't figure that out. she personally prepares the food for her family and never allow her househelp to do so. i was thinking that maybe she's afraid that they might get poisoned.what's your side?

I think it maybe because food is something you take in and therefore you want to make damn sure that it is of good quality. It is not that the househelp won't do their job but then they may not be that careful for the child. Therefore, as a mom, she may want to do it with her own hands so that it fits the standard she has in mind.

I think that I would do the same. Perhaps your friend doesn't want to lose the motherly responsibility of feeding her children. I don't think she's worried about poisning...she probably wouldn't keep the help if she thought they were capable of that. Maybe she is just concerned with the care going into the preparation of the food. You can never be too careful when it comes to your children.
