have you accidentally deleted important mails?

i just did it!it makes me sick.i have accidentally deleted my important mails. i don't have back ups and it will be hard for me to repeat those works that i made and mailed.i felt so disgusted.have you accidentally deleted important mails?

I haven't deleted emails for long time already because there are just too much storage available. With a few gigs of storage offered by gmail, the chance that it get full is simply too low to go thorough the trouble of deleting mails.
Instead of deleting it, I just move it out from my inbox into an archive box so that I can recover it later if I need them back.

this is what i do also... at gmail, i find it easy... i just create another label for whatever kind of mail it is, then after reading move it from inbox to that new label. 
and the same thing to those emails i sent, i move it also to their own label

i have my gmail but im not that familiar with the features.if that's the case, then it's better to use it as of now, especially that i have lots of important mails to attend to.thank you for the suggestions guys.

yes i had done it a lot of times and just like you i was so very upset of myself...
you can get it back though... at your email account go to the 'sent' tab, you will see all the emails that you have sent, if you have another account, send it again to that other account, then you will have a copy again of your mail that you have deleted.

does yahoo have that kind of feature. i don't really use the rest of the features in yahoo. all i do there daily is to check my mails, compose, attach files, check spam mails and delete.

I have deleted alot of emails by mistake and they had even gone out of the deleted mail bit as well so i had no chance in getting the information back.In stead i had to hpoe that i would be sent the email again.Thankfully nine times out of the ten i had the same email sent to me again.They were all important emails which did anger my alot.

yes one time i deleted a very important email from inbox. and i have regret it very much. but nice thing is i backuped it before delete after 6 month i found that email on my another id and i was very happy that day.

As I know, there are two pop operations for send/recieve emails. Outlook(outlook express) or website based. If you deleted your mail, you can find them in delete box. If you also deleted the mail in delete box, you might as well use other software for recovery it, such as 'easy recorvery'...
