If i find a little cat or dog in the street, i ll take my home for sure, and i ll try to give after who really want a pet...my friends, my family, who really want him.
I can t resist to let a little pet there, in the street, no food, no protection...my mother say that i am all poor pets "mother".
Was a time when i had in my house 3 little dogs and 3 cats...but of course i find people who want really to have a pet.
What you will do if you find a "poor" little pet in the street?

I would never do anything like that! Absolutely not. I am from India and most of the stray dogs and cats a wide variety of diseases. But definitely I would take a diseased one to a local vet. I have a pet German shepherd and I know the feeling of animals when they are sick.
Moreover a stray dog or a cat enjoys freedom. In Ethology, I have learned that we must never let any restriction in the freedom of animals that are otherwise not trained to do that. Te dogs we buy from kennels have been through the maximum limit of freedom. That is the reason why dogs from Kennels donot mind us disrupting their freedom in a small scale.
Stray dogs and cats are not trained and the only way to do anything good to them is letting them go by their own way... But if they are sick, we must take them to a vet nin my opinion..
Regards,
Ajith.

My German Shepherd is a female too. Just gave birth to 4 pups. One boy and three girls. And they are so cute, but I think I have to give away two girls. Doesn't matter- too much ladies can be a nuisance in the future..

i would put posters up to see if anyone lost them and if not i would keep them. I can't not keep a little animal in need. All my dogs are rescued :]

Hi and god morning to you icesmile hope you will have a wonderful day. I once worked as person ho went home to elderly and helped them and at our workingplave we had a little kitten how was lost. We took her in and called the "pets friends" who came to take care of her. She was so friendly so we thought that someone must own her and miss her very much. Later we found out that the owner was looking for her and we had a cake from the owner who thanked us for takeing care of her.
It as a god feeling for us. Pets who get lost are mostly missing by someone.

Honestly? I don't like pets but i certainly won't do any harm to them. Once when I went out of our house to go to a friend's house I went home and noticed there's a puppy following me.. It even walked inside our house and just waited outside our bathroom door when I went off to take a shower. Haha. He just waited patiently and still followed me when I'm about to sleep. But since I don't like animals I gave it to my cousin instead.

I have a weakness for seeing poor helpless animals especially cats and dogs on the street or even if I'm around someone who happens to have animals that there giving away, I dont always take them home, but it sure is hard not to, becuse I'm hugh animal lover and I'm always extremely tempted to take an animal home but of course I come to my senses and realize that I already have a pet cat who is a big handful, but my goodness its so hard not to bring an animal home if I see one on the street, or in other situations.

I think I would not take them back home because it is not allowed for us to keep cats or dogs at home or otherwise we will be fined or even worse force out of the flat. What I may do maybe to contact those who can take them home without such restrictions so that these poor little creatures no longer need to suffer on the street.

In my family we always try to bring home animals if we think they need a place to stay until we can find them a perminent home. My husband and I don't really have the room to do this, but if we find an animal, we can usually make a couple of phone calls, and find someone who wants it, within about five minutes.

I think I would. I would take care of them. I would love them and give them a name.

I think it is so nice thaty you do this, It shows you have a good heart and respect for all living things. I feel a few years ago I would have been the same but after my daughter was brytally savaged by a dog a few years back I would be concerned to bring a stray into the home where my two girls live. That said though if I did see a homeless or hurt animal I would phone a local charity who rescues such animals and also I donate to them when I can.

Hello icesmile: that's very nice of you to do that for those animals in need;
Yes I do the same thing I always have, I guess that's why they seem to be drawn to me, they know I'm going to help them in any way that I can, and I usually do wind up finding them homes and then many times over the years I have just kept the cat or dog or whatever it was.
I get so close to my pets or "strays" and its hard for me to let them go you know?
but bless you for being one of the kind souls out there, trust me there just is not enough of us left I don't think I hope there is but sometimes I have to wonder;

With dogs running the streets it is real hard not to catch the poor thing and try to find it's owner. I have alot of stray cats around my house that I feed. If a stray comes to the house crying I try to find the owner. I can't keep any more pets around here I have 2 dogs of my own and a cat that sleeps on my front porch..
REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV YOUR DOG/PET THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U....

I'd take them in as long as they didn't appear mean or aggressive. I love animals and would help any that I could. There are also plenty of local internet listings where you can find them good homes, where they'll be loved and taken care of.
