This is a phrase my mentor told me a long time ago. What he meant is that even though you have been doing good, it is just not enough. You should aim higher and do better. Don't be satisfied at what you have done already and always think that you could have made it even better. The idea is not to let us being not confident of ourself but that we should not be too conceited and complacent. And that we should always remember to do even better next time.
Do you agree with this? I find it quite useful as it helps me to remember that what I think is good may only be temporarily and that I should make it even better.

When I was young, I resented that my father always told me, "Good enough is never good enough. Perfect may or may not be acceptable." I think that was a big part of the reason, though, that I've dedicated my life to being better than yesterday, every single day. Nobody can be perfect, but I believe we must strive for perfection all the time. We are happier if we are better, and we are better as we make others happier. The world can be a wonderful place if we work at improvement.
