do you feel that eating healthy food will make you slim? if not, then what food would you like to have? if you eat too much of proteins and carbohydrates then also it will be an imbalance. it can be healthy but you can gain weight alo in that. eating too much of chicken also is bad. eating in proportion is fine becasue i feel eating in proportions and balance will not make you fat but fit. i am trying to eat my food in right proportions and right tiome also. all that also matters. what do you people think about it?

Yes, Ofcourse eating healthy balanced food makes anyone slim. Minimum knowledge of energy content of foods enables you to determine the intake of foods. You may determine your diet chart considering your physical work i.e how much calories you have spent in a day. First thing is to assess your current eating habits. This is important because you need to know what's not working. If your current eating habits are keeping you overweight, and you want to be slim, it figures that you need to change those eating habits. When you find out your crrent eating habits, you should determine which habits are fitted best fot you to keep slim. To assess your eating habits you may keep a record for a week. Mind it taking less amount of food for the purpose of slimming may harmful to your health.

Also if you're a bit overweight but eat generally healthily, you can try eating a lot of vegetables and drinking lots of water. This will fill you up and as you'll feel less hungry you'll eat less. Works

I think it depends from which point eating healthy is started. If I am already very fat, then eating healthy may ensure that no more fat is assumed. But regular exercise is also needed to remain slim.

I think so. Healthy food means more vegetables, grains, fruits and less meats. I think people will have less fats and therefore they will have a good figure. The healthy diet is the balance diet. Eating one food is not healthy. I love China

Hi here are some foods that can help u in burning fat and slimming down 1.Whole grain Whole grain breads and cereals are a great source of fiber. They generally take a longer time and more energy to digest. Have a bowl of whole grain cereal with skim milk for breakfast, daily. 2.Beans Beans are low in fat and high in quality protein. They also have the added bonus of soluble fiber’s disease-preventing qualities. The soluble fiber traps bile and lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol without affecting HDL (good) cholesterol. 3.Chilies Chilies are full of vitamins. The compound capsaicin present in chilies temporarily stimulates your body to release some stress hormones, which boost your metabolism and cause you to burn more calories. But excessive intake can cause acidity and heartburn. 4.Lean meat The leanest meat pieces are excellent sources of protein with low fat content. The protein helps boost your metabolism, lose fat and build lean muscle tissue so you burn more calories. 5.Low-fat dairy products Low fat yogurt or milk can boost weight loss efforts due to calcium content, according to a study in the April issue of Obesity Research. They also contain a hunger suppressant protein called casein that helps reduce hunger pangs. 6.Eggs Eggs are also a good source of high protein. So start having eggs for breakfast, as research shows that the morning meal fires up your metabolism and increases your energy levels to tackle the day ahead or your morning workout. If you are worried about your cholesterol levels, then you may avoid the egg yolk. 7.Green tea Green tea has been known as a health drink for years. Green tea contains caffeine, which is a decent fat burner. Green tea also has high amounts of catechins and polyphenols, which give your body a small boost in burning up calories. Catechins appear to prevent absorption of fat and to stabilize glucose levels in the body. 8.Green leafy vegetables Green leafy vegetables are packed with vitamins and minerals and fibre. The fibre helps to burn fat. It also increases satiety and gives a feeling of fullness. 9.Berries Berries are a powerhouse of nutrition -- full of vitamins and minerals. The fibre found in berries makes them a fat burning food. 10.Almonds Almonds are a fatty food, but they can help burn body fat. They are loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and heart-healthy fat. They are also a good source of fibre and protein. Nuts also help your body maintain good levels of fat burning hormones, as well as control your appetite and cravings so that you essentially eat less calories overall, even though you're consuming a high-fat food. cheers and good luck!!!

At least taking carbohydreates after 8 pm is fattenning.I've a friend, male, who lost 100 pounds over a year, told me that he almost quit his staple food--the rice. And you're right that eating in porportion is crucial but the total amount of food also counts a lot. I'm just a failure case. I eat fruits in excessive amount, which turn the healthy food into slim body killers. Some fit people used to calculate up calories while taking foods, which could be a good habit.

Well healthy food can make you slim because it is low in calories and high in nutrients. You can still get fat eating healthy if you are consuming too much. Just like you can lose weight eating unhealthy foods, it would just be harder because unhealthy foods are higher in calories. That is really all weightloss is about, creating a calorie deficet through food consumption and exercise. It is good to eat a balanced variety of foods. If you have variety you will get a good range of nutrients. I think that it's very hard to eat too much protein. Protein is great for weightloss because it boosts your metabolism (the rate at which your body burns calories). It also digests slowly and therefore makes you feel fuller for longer, helping to creating a calorie deficet.

Eating the right and healthy foods can surely help one to stay slim. But there are many factors to consider in how to make your body slim. Proper exercise can help too. Walking is one of the ideal exercise I know.

based from my personal experience eating a balanced meal (eating healthy) did not make me slim. it is eating healthy (balanced food) in small portions that made me lose those 10+ lbs.

I think the best way to eat for good health is to enjoy a wide variety of foods, but in moderation. A diet that focuses soley on protein can be hard on the kidneys. By the same token, too much refined sugar is hard on you, too. The best is a healthy balance of lean meat and protein, lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. The occasional treat will not hurt one. Even dark chocolate, in moderation, has been found to be healthy for the heart. For the best results in getting slim or staying slim, exercise and healthy eating go hand in hand. A good topic! Karen
