Hey,
Does anyone else have a problem with people who only ever seem to give one word responses, such as "lol" or "ok" etc.. I always try to type out something thoughtful with lots of questions, giving plenty of oppertunities for them to continue the conversation but i always seem to get the same words flying back at me. It's really frustrating!
The other day i was having a conversation, and the person involved was doing the usually and mainly only saying "lol" to everything. So I got fed up, and the next time they said lol i just didnt bother replying. After a while, I noticed they had said something and when i looked, they had said "wuu2?". Although this respose wasnt much better that lol, i enthusiastically typed out what i was doing and in return asked what they were doing, and guess what reply i got?! "lol"! I was so mad!
Anyway, so i just wondered if this was a common problem or just me!

Yeah i get that, but mostly I find it can be people who i talk to quite a bit in person, friends or good friends who ive have known a while. Must just be an MSN thing, like they really cant be bothered to type or just have too many conversations going. Either way, you would think they could come up with something a little better than "lol"

LOL Oops Sorry! You are not alone, mate! Join the club! I hate such people too! I have had this problem a lot of my times and of late, I have started using their technique. What will a big reply cost them? Their fingers? Of course not! It's high time people started typing long sentences!
Nice thread! I am glad someone brought up this issue! We'll perhaps start a campaign against people who use a LOT of lol! LOL :P

I don't really have such problems with my friends, probably we got more things to talk about since we usually only talked to one another once in a while. One word responses are really annoying if it ever happened. I would rather not continue chatting if that really happens.
