Hospital wait times are getting more and more ridiculous

Is it just me or does the public health care system not seem to care about patients anymore.
I came down with a serious flu this past week and felt that i was in need of medical attention.. and in light of the whole SWINE flu pandemic you'd think that they'd go the extra mile to determine if my flu-like sympton was indeed swine or not. Though I do understand that there are other patients to be cared for, maybe those with in more serious health situations, however, i do not agree that they should neglect and dismiss those who with a less serious illness.
Checking in at the hospital is worse than going through security checkpoints at the airport! First you'd have line up 45 mins to see a nurse (because of course there's one nurse on duty in a room-full of patients); then you'd have to wait in line to be registered and then finally wait another hour to be seen by a doctor...
On the verge of passing out, I literally waited 2 hours to see a doctor and it took him 2 minutes to tell me to go home and rest. (no meds, no tests, NOTHING!) AFter the consultation, he quickly left the patient room and headed back to the lobby to continue mingling with his fellow colleagues... where is the morality in all of this??
