I just watched the John Lloyd + Sarah Geronimo movie this weekend and I found it ADORABLE! It's You Changed My Life See: http://is.gd/L6b3
I don't usually watch Filipino movies except if I'm pretty sure it would be a kilig-fest or a laugh trip.
Do you watch Filipino movies? Which are your favorites?

There are lots of trash Filipino movies but we can't deny the fact that there are very good ones. But I really don't mind whether a film is Filipino or English as long as the storyline catch my fancy and there are some scenes or places I like to see which are in the movie.
I watched Kasal-Kasali-Kasalo of Judy Ann-Ryan and it's sequel and I can say that it is a good one if you want to take a peek on the life of new Filipino families. I recommend Ai-ai's "Tanging Ina Niyo Lahat" if you just want to have a good laugh and still feel good afterward. You want serious Filipino films, there are lots of them too and they are still good. They may look so common sometimes but there are films that offer new perspective to our common life.

I'm a sucker for movies, Filipinos movies especially. I watch practically all of them -- in the cinemas, DVDs, Viva Channel, and PBO. I watch even old Filipino Films. I wish I could write down every single Filipino movie that I like.
Top-of-Mind would be:
1. Batch 81
2. Temptation Island
3. Bagets
4. Sharon-Gabby 80s Movies
5. Ninja Kids
6. Darna Films
7. Capt. Bawang
8. Madrasta

Yup. I personally find it hilarious though it wasn't intended that way. I'm not too sure when it was made, but I think when it was shown in the cinemas, I wasn't born yet. It's such a classic. What I like about it is that I get to see what the lifestyle was like in the Philippines then.

Hey randoh! I usually respond in my respondents' own responses. I see you have a couple but I'm not qualified to answer any of them :P I hope you start a couple that are a little bit more general on the topic so I could show my thanks.
Thanks for the responses! BTW, you're pretty new here, right? Most members agree that the "quality post" that the Discussion Guidelines on myLot mean that it's at least 3 lines long. You'll be able to optimize your earnings if you follow the guidelines (although some of them like "quality post" are a little vague :) but we can simply do our best).
Good luck!

The last Filipino movie i watched was Ai Ai Delas Alas' Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat... and i did that as a favor to my mother... never really wanted to watch that movie because it is just not my cup of tea... i hear that John Lloyd-Sarah Geronimo movies are great... but still... i prefer to watch English movies...

I do watch Filipino movies. My favorites are the ones I have been part of like GAGAY (prinsesa ng brown out), PARANAQUE BANK ROBBERY, and my last movie INANG YAYA. There are also some movies I have watched. Filipinos are good film makers. I hope we could do movies for international release like what China did.

I super enjoyed GAGAY. Ang galing talaga ng Pinoy. It may not have been a super big movie, but it shows how resilient we are during tough times. Imagine, in the midst of the brown-out crisis, we still manage to have a good laugh about it by using movies as an avenue for it.

Well, yes, I do watch Filipino movies, though not that frequently. I prefer comedies, though.

I watched that movie too the first movie of them and the second one. I admit I like the team up of John Lloyd and Sarah Geronimo. I find it corny but funny sometimes we need to watch our movie to support the movie industry here in the Philippines. I seldom watch Tagalog movies but if I like the story of a certain movie I'm going to watch it. I think Batanes I like the story of Iza Calzado and Ken Zhou. I would love to visit it someday.

I do not watch Filipino movies that much. I only enjoy Ai Ai Delas Alas' movies because I find her really funny and the only Filipino romantic movie that I enjoyed so much that I even had a copy of it is One More Chance. It was just like the ultimate love story that would really make you cry.

I watched the two movies of John Lloyd-Sarah tandem and they are so cute to watch. Both are feel good movies and they have great chemistry.
