What are the benefits of not believing in God?

I think its as varied an answer as the benefits of believing in a god....There is no one answer for every person...its different for all of us...for me personally its not about benefits or lack there of, its just whats best for my life and has proven to be for yrs now (not believing I mean)

you know, i don't think it's a matter of dangers and benefits, it's just faith... if you believe, you don't think about the bad side of it and if you don't you don't wonder about how nice it would be if you do. but, i guess that not believing in god can be bad in the since that you may end up with nothing... i've seen many people who were atheists become believers, because they needed something to hold on to. most of theese are women who lost they're husbands and children. on the other hand, if you don't believe in god you will only obey your conscience. (i'm not sure i spelled that right...)
