I am graduated from a computer related major and that I am now working as a programmer. So, I think I am working in a job relevant to my major. I think that most people are working in a job not related to their major due to the jobs related to their major is not that many. We all have to live and if things don't change for us, we change for them. So, they take up position not related to their own major.

I'm not sure people choose jobs that are irrelevant to their major, they often don't have a choice. Although I never used my major college provided me with social skills, responsibility and much of what I learned was and is transferable to all sorts of things.

I got my job long before I graduated from college. My present job is not really relevant with my major in college but I am doing just fine. I guess it depends on us whether we enjoy the job or not. Basically, I would suggest people to choose the job that is relevant with their major because they have spent several years to earn their degree so that it won't be a waste of time. Once again, it's a matter of choice. Cheers!

My job is related to my college degree for I am an Information Technology graduate and currently my job is COBOL programmer. But the programming language is so JURASSIC as what I call it. I prefer PC based programming language so I can practice it at home. But I am really thankful for my job right now because being a programmer is a dream come true to me.
