what do you think of that ? I hear that people spend a lot taking care a lot of pets in US ...vaccinations , food.. etc.. but it's possible that they spend more than in a dog than a baby...

it is so touching to me that people take such good care of their animais, but a lot of people don't take as good of care of their children & grandchildren as people do animails. children r the most precious thing that God will give us. being responsible for another human being is mind bogginling. i don't understand America when it comes to protecting our children. i told my husband that we treat our dog better than some people treat their children & grandchilren. what a shame!!!!!!!!

having pets r a real comfort. they say the elderly live longer if they have a pet. i have been around people that treat them like they r their children. we treat our dog like a queen. we would be lost without her. but still, there is nothing that can hold a candle to human life.

I can understand how that might be. I've been trying lately to find a type of cat food that provides my cat with the kind of nutrition her body was meant to eat- specifically, animal-based proteins and no grains. Sadly, the only "healthy" cat foods out there are extremely expensive. I'm talking more than $20 for a tiny 3 lb. bag of cat food. I've never had a baby, but when I walk past the baby food aisle at the grocery store it doesn't seem like baby food is as expensive as cat food. Maybe it's because baby food is a necessity. Having a pet is a luxury, so pet food suppliers can charge luxury prices. But when you add on the cost of medical care, diapers, clothes, toys, and other baby supplies, I would think that having a baby would be a lot more expensive in the long run than having a cat.
