What is happening in your economy like this?

Things have gotten so bad, people are loosing their jobs, homes and pretty much everything. The last day of school I was talking to another mom at the school and she told me they were selling all their things and packing up their 4 children and going to the coast. The had no money and her husband couldn't find a job. So they were going to sleep in tents down on padre island and pray her husband can find work from the hurricane rebuild. She said it was the best time to do it because her kids were out 4 summer and they would just think they were camping out and having fun. I just think that is so sad. I hope and pray things will get better.
