we live in such an instant society these days. everyone wants stuff right now and that is why a lot of people and companies are in debt!
If you think about our grandparents or even their grandparents, they had to save up for the things that they wanted to buy.
Currently, we have no credit cards and really dont miss them. how about you? could you live without credit?

I definitely can live without my credit cards - I just choose not to! Right now, I use my credit cards for everything! This means that I get cash back from them. It ultimately makes my purchases cheaper. Of course, the key is paying off the credit card every month - which we do.
My husband and I still save up for things. The only debts we have are our cars (mine will soon be paid off - in just over a year from the initial loan date!) and the mortgage. Not too bad. I still dont like having that debt, but we need to be able to get to work and paying the mortgage is better than paying rent!
I really dont think credit cards are bad. It is the way that people use them that are bad! I know plenty of people who use them to get the rewards and never pay a dime in fees or interest! That is definitely a good deal!

I have never owned a credit card nor do I intend to get one because of two reasons:
1- I do not like the idea of overspending.
2- I do not want to pay interest.
Personally I do not like the idea behind credit cards and in my opinion credit cards eventually lead you to financial mess if not crisis.

I think having credit card does not necessarily mean overspending as spending or not greatly depends on how you control your own desire of purchasing.
You don't need to pay a penny as interest if you settle the outstanding amount once the statement arrived.

Personally not having Credit Cards can be a good thing as it is so easy to keep on charging all of the time, and end up running up more than you can handle to where you end up not being able to make the payments, and run your credit into the ground and most of the time never have a way out as well. Personally we do have Credit with some places, and I feel even though we have Credit Cards, etc. for the most part we are pretty cautious and try not to use them unless we absolutely have too.

I don't use credit cards. I spend only what I make and I don't have any debts.
I have to pay my mortgage and it is all I have to pay. I wouldn't afford to pay any interest on credit cards. I try to pay cash for everything, this way I spend less...

There was a time when I went crazy without a credit card but that was because I messed them up and had to go without a card for awhile. Nowadays, I've found I almost never use a credit card. I just put everything on my debit card. It really was the convenience of the card that I missed. However, I find I still occassionally need checks. The auction houses in my area now charge an extra 3% buyer's fee if any card is used but not for cash or check payment.

Yes, I definitely could live without one. I have one right now, but I could definitely get along without it. I only have one despite loads of offers for more. It's like they (the credit card companies) are all just waiting for us to spend money we don't have.

In my 29 years here on earth, I've never had a credit card. Sometimes I wish I have one but I don't think it is necessary. I have friends who have credit cards and they end up having problems with it. I don't want to get into the same trouble and problem. I can live without credit cards and I don't intend to have one.

Oh without a doubt I can live without a credit card. I have for the last 15 years. And before anyone says, "But how can you buy a house or car?" My answer is very simple. I do not wish to be burdened by the nightmare of owning a home. Even when you pay off the mortgage, you still have property taxes. Property taxes that do nothing but go up each year. In addition, I am not silly enough to really think that a car will hold value. The depreciation of a new car, once the ink is dried on the purchase contract, is astronomical. No thanks.
Despite my living without credit cards all this time, I still have an electronics set-up that causes most tech geeks to go green with envy. A nice car, and all that I desire.

I have credit cards and I think I can live without it.
The idea is what your attitude is when you use your credit card to pay for your purchases. If you buy things without even thinking of whether you have the cash in your saving account or pocket, you are using the "credit" part of the credit card which of course will only cause you troubles. However, I only pay by my credit card if I know I can immediately settle the outstanding amount right away. This way, I am using the "manageability" aspect of the credit card: you are given statement every month on any purchases. The "credit" part never troubles me.
In fact, I have never been charged of any interest with my use of credit cards.

My husband and I have lived without credit cards for the past 9 years. At times we say it would be nice to have one when you are running low on money and there is not a lot of food or gas but overall we are very happy that we do not have to pay for those horrible interest rates

Every month I create a budget account in my personal diary. Both my wife and I receive our pay checks devide into three mejor categories - Give,Save,Spend. Next, each major category breaks into several sub categories. For example Spend - Vegetables, Londry, Children, Grossary etc. I then allocate budget on each subcategories simple by a ball pen. I spend every dollar, every month, on paper, before the month begins. I deposit our paychecks into my nearest bank and move money through the same bank or my online accounts, as needed. So simple, I live without any credit card for thirty four years.

Hi there. Well, of course, I could live without a credit card but having one sure makes life easier, as long as you know how to manage your finances and settle amounts due on time.

Of course, I would survive with out a Credit Card. the last time i had one was like 2 years ago, and i wasn't aware of the financial consequences of not paying the bill on time, i got chaste for a year and after working hard from families aiding arms, i was able to pay it in full. After that i never use a credit card even though I was given by the Company as part of the Privileges.

Sure,i can.To be honest,i have never used a crdit card yet.I am not so into use a credit card,if there is something that i want to buy ,but i have not enough money,i prefer not buy it.I really feel uncomfortable if i am in debt.
Of course ,on the other hand, credit cards can make a difference sometimes if we really need money but can't get from other ways like borrowing. So,everything has two aspects,it depends on everyone's own choice.

Definitely. I don't like credit cards because I'm afraid of going in debt. I live better off without them. When I used to have one, I would spend money like madd. But good thing I cancelled it. I hate credit cards.
