Are you taking a summer vacation?

Well I am going to a small town up in Michigan called Ludington for a month or so since my wife's father lives there. It is quite fun! It may be small but it has a nice ice cream shop, a skatepark, a REAL sand beach, and nice waves. But they have cold water so it isn't that much fun to look at it than it is to swim. The light house there is quite beautiful too.

I don't think we will be taking any kind of vacation this year but I am not really sure though. I know that we sure need to use our money for other things and we just cannot really afford to take off from work and miss out on that income either.

Money was very tight this summer, so we really didn't go anywhiere. I went to Toledo on my own for a girls weekend though, when a friend of mine had a 55th birthday celebration. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go at first without Hubby, who is still waiting for his Canadian citizenship papers, but he encouraged me to go ahead, since it was just an overnight trip. I had a great time.

we would love to take some time off, the only issue would be that if my hubby doesnt work, he doesnt get paid! so to that end, we will be doing stuff on weekends. i hope to go away for a weekend to stay with friends maybe during july or something.
