Can you play DVDs on Nintendo Wii?

I have a Nintendo Wii and you CAN'T play DVD's on it.

No, you can't, unless you install/modify software with your wii. If you're a first time wii user, it's not something I would recommend trying.

I seem to remember reading something recently that said you could not, but I could be wrong about it. Best to go to the website and read about the system.
