Hi all myloters and star wars fans. I have just seen a video on wired.com of remoted controled r2dr. it was built by a model maker for about $10,000 USD. the unit can do almost anyting, it moves arond and spins its head. even has a periscope that pops up out of its head. it reminds me of some thing I saw at a local sfi-fi convention I attend this winter. I got pics and some vid of a remote contrled r2dr, the owner made it himeslef. but I do not knwo how much it cost him.

Well this does seem like a very expensive R2D2. I don't know that I would want to buy one but I might would make one and have it be like the guy in the video said, a stereo system. It seems pretty cool .

This is a really good discussion, and Star Wars has always been a very popular movie, and I am sure there are a lot of people who love the Star Wars movies and would love to have anything having to do with Star Wars, and then I am sure there are some people who do not care about Star Wars or about having things from the movies, my fiance saw this discussion and she responded to you already, and we were looking at the site the other day,and that is totally awesome,it weighs like two hundred pounds so it would be so much like R2-D2,and I am sure that there is a lot of work that goes with making it,since it costs like ten thousand dollars to make, and I wish it did not cost that much, because that is something I would love to have because I am a big fan of Star Wars and it will always be my favorite movie because of the Sci-Fi action, and all the cool effects like the lightsaber fighting, and the good vs evil, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

greatttttttttttttttt i love it but it has one thing missing AI but in a few years it will be possible for all of us to have our very own R2DTs with real AI. i would love to buy this but i want to buy it when it is from George Lucas.
