If I'm gaming I'll use VLC media player because it doesn't use up as much memory.
But if I'm just surfing I tend to use WinAmp or Windows media player alternatively.

Oh I used to use windows media player and winamp for songs, too, but I always had problems with winamp I don't know why, so I thought I should search for other players. I also needed one that played more formats so that I don't install codecs all the time.
Now I use VLC media player and GOM player. They are the best from what I've used so far. BS player is good, too, but mostly for movies.

I highly advise to each an everyone of you that you check out moovida it is what i currently use an find it works amazingly.
It enriches you file, forinstance it adds album art work to all your music an to all your video files it will automatically add a synopsis to the file as well as fan art work.
Give it a go for free from - http://www.moovida.com

I mostly use Windows Media Player since I'm too much of a pansy to install too much on my laptop after having crashed a few months ago because of a virus. I have a new hard drive now, and I've vowed to take a little bit more care of this one. I do have Microsoft Zune installed though, and may start using that more since it'll actually open now. It seems to work a bit faster than WMP too.
