Free Parking!!!

I just saw on the news that in Cincinnati, Ohio you can park anywhere for free if you have an electric car. However, so far there are only 8 electric cars known in the entire city. I think its a pretty cool idea, and a way to reward people for watching out for the planet. What do you think?

I think it is an incentive to encourage people to switch to use electric car which is on the edge of rolling out to the society. While it is more environmental friendly to run a car on electricity, it has some problems pending for solutions. The mileage for one and the recharge stations for two. This makes using electric car a nice idea but not very practical.
Government, knowing there are still dome drawbacks of it, opt to give incentives to car owners so that they are more willing to change. But then, once these drawbacks are solved, this "free parking" thing will also be stopped.
