i agree. i think its funny that you used this quote since it is used in a song by Placebo that continues "a friend with weed is better". i think that friends are hard to come by. you share your entire self with a true friend and they accept you as you are. but not everyone does this. we may think we have plenty of friends. but we do not. we have people we hang out with to not be lonely and to watch tv and to play sports and to have company. but how many people do we truly show our selves to? how many people know the real us and love us for that. those people are your true friends.

Making friends is a hard work. You have to be willing to reach out, to listen, to be honest and accepting. You have to risk being rejected, not everyone will want to be your friend. Yes friendship is a special gift to us but unfortunately these days it doesn't seem to be that important to some, I have found that friendship is very much taken for granted these days, people seem to only really care themselves and really only respect the friendships they have while it is a benefit to them...

Friends are a blessing that is for sure. Something not to be taken advantage of. I am so greatful for the ones that I do have.
