I keep seeing the commercials for cash for gold. I was just wondering if any one had actually sent their jewelry to this company. It always catches my attention and I think about trying it. But, the idea of mailing my jewelry off and waiting for payment makes me nervous.

I did send some stuff off to the Cash 4 Gold site. I did receive a check and it was legit. I made about $68 on junk jewelry. If you are nervous about it, I know alot of the local jewelers in Florida are doing it. You could check out your local jewelers and see what they are offering. It's worth it if you just have stuff laying around. My one friend made $700 on her stuff. She had quite a bit to sell. She was just tired of alot of the old stuff she had. Check it out.

I don't have a lot, just a few necklace drops. Do they only pay for the gold like pawn shops or do they consider the stones that are in the gold

They only pay for the gold. They don't consider the stones at all. If they are in good shape you may try just selling them on Ebay or Craigslist. You might get a little more if they have desirable stones in them.
