I tend to chronicle my life through playlists of music, and I love learning about new songs that match situations I'm in or have been in. I'm about to move away from my boyfriend and it's beginning to hit me how hard it's going to be to be far apart. Does anyone know any good songs that might suit this situation?

Its funny how people can actually see different meaning to the words of songs, people can actually see it differently, as in a friend of mine wrote a song called "hello And Welcome" which the words are hello and welcome to the rest of my life...I said to him it would make a beautiful wedding song, he laughed at me and simply said i didn't really listen to the words, he said it was about a man getting out of gaol...But i said it was still lovely words...months later he apologized to me as he got a gig at a wedding to sing that very song....I guess it all depends on the ear listening...

haha, so true! your encounter with your friend is something similar i often encounter with others; them having different views of a song's lyrics than i do. beauty is in the ear of the listener, in this case!

Dumb Reminders by No Use for a Name is about that subject exactly. Also, Hey there, Delilah by Plain White T's, I Wish You Were Here by Incubus, Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, Pictures of You by the Cure. There are more. Lots more. But that's what I can think of off the top of my head.

My choice would be hold my hand of Akon feat Michael Jackson. Right here waiting, by Richard Marx. If you leave my world by Michael Learns to Rock. This are the song i keep on listening when i am remembering someone, my someone who is far from me.

I like the way you think. Music has a huge place in my world. The first song that comes to mind was recorded by Carole King before you were born, "So Far Away" so you most likely haven't heard it but as a writer I am sure you can appreciate the lyrics.

How about 'I just Called to Say I Love You,' by Stevie Wonder? Another less well known but really beautiful song is 'Missing You,' by Chris de Burgh. Then there's 'New Kid in Town' by the Eagles, although that's written about a man. Nice topic to get the brain in gear this morning! If your love is strong, the separation can only strengthen it, so try not to get too upset.
