Now we all want to know how to write some great content, and we all want to know how to write more of it, and fast! So what if I told you there is only one simple rule that you have to follow to write better, faster, longer. Just like the song by Kanye West, and Daft Hands.
Now tell me if this sounds like you when you are trying to write an article, or here on myLot!
1. You sit down to write your article and you start thinking and you start feeling the ideas come and you think of how to write them down on your paper, workspace! Then you start editing how your going to write it even before you write it down. So you contradict yourself even before you write anything! So you end up getting up and procrastinating.
2. So you come back after your party & chilling to write that article again. You may start writing a few lines but instantly find grammatical, spelling, and reuse of words and start editing your article to death. So you get frustrated again and go back to procrastinating! AH! I just did it! I changed how I spelled grammatical!
3. So now you come back and have a sure-fire way of writing your article. You actually get a paragraph down! Now you again see errors and edit it again and then get frustrated and leave it again.
So how this whole scenario ends is you end up spending 2-hours of hardcore writing a four sentence article! Now that is outrageous as it has taken me about 15 minutes to write this article all the way down to this period.
How things are supposed to go down is:
* You take off your smart-Alic, perfectionist hat, and write until your brain wants to die inside of your head.
* You edit your article to death AFTER writing it.
Woah! Is it really that simple? YES!
So what we have done here is separate writing, from editing. And boy oh boy, did I get a lot of positive feedback after following these rules!
Things not to do while writing:
*Don't Spell check
*Don't find proper words or synonyms in the dictionary or thesaurus
*Don't change or re-adjust sentence structure
*Don't search through Wikipedia or Google for facts
*Don't look back at what you have written.
Things to do AFTER writing:
Do all of the listed above appropriately.
Separating editing from writing can save you time, and keep you satisfied with your work as it was an original idea instead of something Word came up with while writing words, or grammar mistakes!
Make sure next time you sit down to write to separate editing from writing. You will definitely feel the difference!

yes you are right and your writing strategy is more effective that it sounds. I never club writing and editing together - you will only end up with two words of a half written paragraphs - LOL
It is alwayd better to pour out your thoughts, let it flow and fill the medium with all your creativity. Then, take a break and come back for editing after an hour or so (if there is time constrains take a shorter break). Now apply your logical mind to it and read it from a third person's point of view. You will for usre improve the quality of your article and also save a lot of time and of course will not be another victim of procrastination! :)
