do you know if your fart would stink just by the sound of it?

Okay, I'm laughing already and for the life of me, I cannot see what is funny about it, but farts really are funny. Nope, do not know if they'll be quiet or loud or smelly or not LOL.

One of the fundamental principles of farting is that the loud ones are all thunder and no fragrance, and the SBD farts (silent but deadly) are the ones to use as Weapons of Mass Destruction. Like all principles, there are exceptions, but I can usually tell. If I get a rumbling in my guts ahead of the fart, it's going to be that rarity, a noisy choker. Like your father, I am a Frequent Farter and proud of it. Next time he gets on your nerves, think of it this way. If you can hear and smell his farts, it's great news, because it means both of you are alive. You wouldn't like the alternative! Great topic. Come on you farters - tell us your story.

If we are in a public place we should try hard to fart without leaving a sound mark.That will be good for us.Otherwise people would start laughing at us.About the smell,I think,a fart with sound will not be bad as a fart without sound.Try it out.LOL!

Lol this is an interesting discussion topic! I suppose it is difficult to predict really, sometimes we think we are going to do a fairly quiet fart, and then it comes out sounding like someone has let a bomb off. Other times we really want it not to stink and it comes out so bad that everyone needs to hold their breath!!!!

Too good.Its really a very good discussion,a way to make us laugh.unfortunately I am at my work right now so can not burst into the laughter.I love myself so badly that I really like the smell of my fart.once I was walking with my father & I don't know what happened to him.He might have a stomach problem I guess,he farted four times with four steps forward.each step with a fart.lol.its true it was like he had a musical walk that day.

And there are times that i know if it will have a bad smell or not. :D My dad to when he was alive likes to fart. And we always end up laughing about it. :D

Ha ha ha! What a frank discussion this is! Yes most of the times i can guess whether it would make a sound and whter it would stink. The soundless farts stinks and the loud ones most of the times don't.Sill there are loud ones that stinks. But i can guess on the basis of the pre-fart feeling in the abdomen.

I believe I know if my fart will sound or not. That is why I keep myself ready for the bomb. For me all fart have smell but it has a different range of smell LOL. And if that smell so stinky it means you have to lessen your bowel LOL.

i think by our own human instincts, we would know if it is deadly or not. But, I guess, we better detonate it in private, and not like other people who silently explode it in public gatherings! As a result, a great weapon of mass destruction triggers everybody to leave the room.

I have to say it's really a funny discussion! Acutally,people have this talent~(at least all the ones around me) when you getting a fart very loudly,it won't stink.But if you make a silent one and 90% it will be a stink one.And before you fart,you will have a feeling that you can't tell how to discribe ,which gives you some forecases that whether this one would be stink or not.

Nice blooper on there!!! :D That is we had that a joke sometimes whenever we are watching TV or that having a great conversations with my family members at home. Someone would also say if it did not sound out so loud its not stinky but would say lately its stinks. Just a story of mine when an instructor has to had it while having his lecture, would say may be I just had to share it with you.

haha! Interesting discussion! What I do know, as personally someone who farts, is that the loud farts are actually those which don't smell, while those silent ones are the deadly ones! There's even a Chinese saying for this, which means exactly this! haha!

This a very odd discussion,but I have an answer for you. It not the sound that let you now whether it is going to give you the tear gas effect. If your dad is constantly eating stuff that gives him gas,you know he is gearing up to send you running for cover. So the best thing is to watch what he eats and if you now that food is going to allow to spread his fumes everywhere, stay clear; you know what is coming. Peace!!

Usually you can kind of get an idea of stenchfactor by how it feels when it comes out. However having a perfect streak of being able to tell is a rather impressive accomplishment indeed. I would like to shake your fathers hand some day out of pure admiration. I will leave you all with the following words to live by. Fart long, Fart Hard, and most importantly Fart Proud!

i was taught since young that a sounding fart doesn't stink and a silent fart is the silent killer as it stinks like hell!!! as to your 2nd question of whether one knows if the upcoming fart will be sounding or not, i guess we more or less can feel it? that said, im sure there were times when you thought its not gonna make any sound and decided to have a go in a silent classroom or lift. you know hows the situation like thereafter...

in my case, i do it quietly with the hanker chief or simply close my nose to prevent the farting. well, it's part of those human nature.
