Think of what it would be like for you to eat something without teeth. All the above suggestions are good. I would think anything with a little liquid to make it easier to swallow. I did not feed my daughter solids until she started reaching for the food. I think I gave her mashed up bananas. Just a little at a time. Your doctor should be able to direct you what to do or else maybe some good books from the library.

Yes, giving rice is the best option as i know. It's easy to dissolve in his little tummy. When my baby was around three months plus, i started to blender rice and cook porridge mix with a few slice of chicken for him. I spoon-feed him like 3 to 4 spoons a time. When he started to like to eat the porridge, then i started to increase the amount of spoons of porridge for him. I am sure your baby will likes it after you spoon-feed him a few times..Good luck to you..

you can give him to start with some liquids like daal, then some fruits mashed in milk, like, banana, apple etc...and then slowly...some rice with tomatoes mashed, such things you can try depending on the taste of the baby, if he/she is healthy enough, it will digest all the food without any problems.........i have forgotten some tips, as mine are now grown up, one is ten and the other 6...so fprgpt some exercises i had to do to feed them

Good suggestions. However, tomato is to be avoided I think. It is because it is one of those things to be avoided before the age of one. I am telling it from the WHO's list of foods to be avoided.

When my babies were small, and still to this day, doctors recommend starting babies on rice cereal especially made for them. Only one food at a time should be added as you go, and then you'll know whether or not it agrees with baby. Strained fruits and veggies would come next, but here they say no eggs, orange juice, or honey until the baby is a year old. They have trouble digesting them up until them.
Most babies, when you start veggies, love strained squash or sweet potatoes. Next would come the fruits, mashed banana, peaches, or pears are good starter fruits. If in doubt, always ask your doctor or look online for further suggestions. : )

Rice cereal is best for such a young child, the other things would be difficult for him to digest and may cause problems. Start with rice cereal which you can mix with formula or mother's milk to make it liquid-y. After your child is about 6-7 months old then you can start on a veggie - baby food though, mashed up and easy to swallow. Then fruit should be last, again baby food fruit so it's not too thick or a choking hazard. Babies will prefer the sweet fruits, so make sure you start them on veggies first so they get a good mix. Things like mashed potatoes and bananas may become too thick for baby to swallow, up until this point he hasn't had to swallow anything of that consistency so he has to practice first! Good luck and take pictures it's so fun!

You should give porridge to your child .It is semi solid and easy to digest.
Introduce one solid food at a time.Do not give more than one type of solid food in a day.
Mashed potatoes and bananas in curd are also good options. You can also give boiled and mashed carrots.
