i do not understand what the big fuss about symonds is. he is not a good enough player now. it is actually unfair on a player like brad hodge that symonds gets a look in every time over him. the australian selectors have made a lot of wrong decisions over the past year or so but this seems like the only right decision they have made which is to drop symonds. even in the sydney test match we saw how many mistakes the umpires had to make so symonds could reach a century.he is not test material at all at least now.

i think england will win the ashes this time because they have good batting site and also good bowling side in their team which they prove against west indies by beating them convincly in two test matches. my best wishes are with england criecket team

The selectors dropping symonds was unfair. But i think that Australia can retain the ashes because they have great depth in their team

Symmo is a class player and very dangerous on his day. I thought the selectors would pick him purely based on past performance, but that was not the case. I think Australia can retain the Ashes without him, but it will be a tough battle. Symmo would have been a genuine all round option and his fielding is also good. Anyway I hope for a strong and entertaining contest.

I think Australia will not be able to defend Ashes with or without Symmonds. Because after the retirement of Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne and few other key players Australia has already lost its competitive edge on England.

I have never understood why they have dropped him out of the as he is really a very cool player and an excellent fielder. I don't know weather they will retain it or not but it is surely a loss for them. Loosing sucha valuable player is a big mistake done by the selection commitee. Lets see what happens. good luck.
