Hi I have a friend who was my best friend in school. But she left our school to go to Hyderabad. Later we had no contact. Now I have become a teacher. But after 12 years even now I think about her. I even have a birthday card for her for each year through out these years. But I wonder if I will ever get to meet her again. How do you people feel about such things? Do you forget your friends easily?

hello...i think you are very sweet friend...and very nice that you still remember your friend and still remember her birthday! me i also have those long lost friend, she's my neighbor then, she live right next to our house with her mother and we become really close, we are still on grade school then, but after she graduated in grade school they move to another province coz her mother marry another man and since then we don't have chance to see each other, at first we still write bto each other but as time goes on we loose communication...up to now i still remember her and our childhood memories and i'm hoping to see her again but its quite impossible now because i also moved to another province and i just go home once a year, the last thing i hear about her is that she has been married and already have a family... like you, i don't forget people that i treated as friend, even if some of them forgets me already, me never! have a nice day! :-)

To this day, I think about the friends I had way back in elementary school. I haven't seen them in 20+ years, ever since I moved here to Louisiana. I also think about the young lady with whom I was best friends in high school. By the time we got to college, we'd grown so far apart--she had her group of friends, and I had mine. It's sad, but sometimes friendships do grow apart. :(

There are a few people with whom I attended school I occasionally wonder about what has happened to them over the years. I live in the place where I grew up so I am constantly running into someone who recognizes me and occasionally I will receive an email from someone on the classmates website.

Yes, its sad losing a friend that you have none for many years. I know it has happen to me a couple of times. Try looking for your friend on the internet in places like myspace, facebook, and etc.Long as he/she was one of your true friends. You all will find a way to meet up once again!

When I was in High school I was best friends with all the girls from the local foster house. We kept in touch for a few years after HS, but as time when on we all went our seperate ways, theres not a day that goes by that I dont think of them and wonder where there lives have taken them. As the years go by it gets harder and harder to keep up with my friends from the past that I have stayed in contact with since one is in Canada and the other in England while I'm still in the states. I have "Brain Fog" due to fibromyalgia, even though I can't remember what day it is or what I ate for breakfast, I still remember each one of my friends that have past through my life as if it was yesterday. When somebody touches your life, that is something you will never forget.
