I do have a friend who reported to me her nanny has done something badly to their child. She never prepared a better way of taking care of child, stole the money, bring the boy back to home. Thank God, my friend do have a CCTV and recorded everything she done and fired her immediately. What whould you think? do have a nanny? do you ever ask what she has done to your child?

Hi there Edifier83. Welcome to myLot! I hope you enjoy your time here. A child is a huge responsibility. Here in the U.S., most people cannot afford Nannies, so we hope to have a relative to watch our children. If not, then we have to turn outside of the home for day care, where several people may be watched by a minimum number of adults. My brother had a bad situation with this, because they had too many children there and not enough adults. He went to pick his children up one day, and they were sitting in the back of a squad car. His wife quit her job then and there, and did not go back to work until they were old enough to watch themselves. I think it is best if the Mom, or Dad in some cases, can stay home with the children. Good luck to your friend. I hope they press charges so that this Nanny cannot do this to another family.

Being a nanny myself I am surprised by this other nanny. she is giving us a bad name. Personally I always tell the parents if the child had a fit and how i handled it (never physically) I'm sorry your friend had a horrible experience. But I also think they should have done some reference checks on her and stuff.

It is difficult to find a good nanny and I had one who would discipline my child physically. I fired her at once. Cheers!!

I am very sorry that your friend had a problem with a nanny. That is just aweful. Children are so precious that they deserve to be happy and well taken care of. I think that your friend made the right choice in firing the nanny. I would recommend doing backrounds checks on anyone you hire as domestic staff. But the most important thing for a mom is to use your gut instincts. These are usually the best weapon at keeping your kids safe and sound.
