I've just finished feeding my boys their lunch, and I sat down here and decided to munch of some animal crackers. Well, instead of finishing their lunch, the boys come in and want me to share the crackers. Good thing it's just crackers. I learned long ago not to attempt to eat sweets in front of the children, lol!
Do you miss the days of being able to eat things without being forced to share them?

I haf forgotten all this about children until the twins came to live with me. Every evening as I eat my dinner they want to eat some of my food. Somehow they just appear with a fork each and ask me to share. It obviously does not taste the same if I offer to put some of my food on a plate for them. They just eat from my plate. The food gets to be an awful mess and I don't want to eat it then and then they tell me to eat my dinner!

Mine will only force me to share if they don't have their own. So dinner time is excluded. But if I want ice cream after dinner... I better have enough to go around!

Haha this is the bain of my life at the moment with my daughter, she always wants what I have no matter what it is!! I cannot eat my meals without her wanting some or all of it. When it comes to treats I have to wait til the kids are in bed, but it makes me laugh because they go upstairs to bed and as soon as I go in the fridge for my choccie treat I can guarantee they come back downstairs for something and catch me!!

ah, the good old days! I can't remember the last time I got to sit down and eat something without out having someone mooch bites of it. My kids are well known moochers lol. No matter where we go they will mooch. The baby will even mooch off of anyone who has something good even if he doesn't know them lol. Half the time if I'm making food or a snack I will always put extra on my plate to prepare for moochers. If I didn't the would end up getting it all before I got any of it.

My kids never let me eat anything without sharing with them. I would even go so far as to get the spicy chips to keep them from wanting mine. That backfired. My daughter likes them and my son is learning too. Her daddy's fault I guess. He gives her Flaming Hot Cheetos.

Almost there again...
Funny how they make you share, but they never share unless "I'm not hungry...."

I know exacly what you mean. My son is 4 going on 5 and we attend services regularly, and he goes to sunday school. The first time I knew that the information was getting thru was when I didn't want to share something.. he responded with the phrase "But Mom, God wants you to share." and with the innocent little look on his face. Little manipulator that he is, uses anything to get what he wants ... LOL

I am 55 and still seldom share my chocolate candy with anyone.
I keep it stashed away from the grandkids.
Not hidden, just stashed away.
My daughter knows where to find it and snatches some often.
My family etc also knows not to eat the last piece of any type of sweets in my house. Like cake, cookies, donuts, candy, pie, etc.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~
