Do You Believe You Lived A Past Life?

My mom has told me stories that when I was younger, like maybe 3 or 4 years old I would tell some off the wall story about something I had did. She would tell me you didn't do that. and my response was always not now when I was here before. So I am inclined to believe in Reincarnation even though i'm of the christian faith. From what I have read reincarnation was in the bible years ago but was removed. Plus you do not know what in the bible has been twisted and distorted by man through the years. I tend to think that you are reincarnated and sent back to earth until you get it right then you will go on to live an eternity with God. What are your thoughts on this everyone?

I think that it is completely possible for people to have lived past lives and that some people, such as one of my housemates have been around for a long time. I think this because although he's only 20 he's very cynical about the way the world is and in a lot of things that he does like he has been around for a long time. My other housemate I think has had a couple of past lives but not many because she is very into certain time periods and likes to dress in a styles from other periods, she's not interested in what goes on in todays world. As for me I don't think I've lived a past life. I don't have any connection that I feel to anything in the past and I think that I'm often quite in awe of the world as a new person would be! That's my theory anyhow.

Hi Marcia, I am with you on this one as young children have no preconceived ideas and just say what they think or feel and are also more in tune with spirit. I am a Christian also but I do feel that I remember living in an age where I was helping smugglers and when I went down a tunnel when I first moved here it was all so very familar, one of my daughters always used to tell me about the time she had visited Stoneghenge and touched the stones and I said to her that it has all been fenced off from the public for many years so she couldn't have done but she was insistent that she had so maybe in a previous life. Huggles. Ellie :D

I really dont know if I believe in reincarnation or not. If its real though I wouldn't like to be reincarnated. The thought of having to go through life's long lessons over and over. Just seems like torture. I know I have made alot of mistakes and if I had a chance to correct them I would be too afraid I would make the same mistakes again. To me i will just stick with what I already believe and not think about possibility of reincarnation.

When I used to recount my own childhood acts and the scenes my mom used to counter by saying,"You have heard me several reminiscing your childhood, so thatdoes not "qualify" for clear memory of childhood. Actually the memories are etched in the sunconscious and are not usually available to the conscious mind. But then there have been scraps of my childhood memories(those that happened when I was 2-3 years old! As for belief in Reincarnation well, that happens to be one of the bedrocks of my religion. But the "proofs" coming, from people who have no "compulsion" to have Reincarnation as a concept have come up with more detailed and scientific study of memories of lifetimes past accessible to anyone under trance and hypnotic suggestion, by a very well trained hypnotherapist. This I believe is now regularly being used in PLR Therapy, esp. to overcome phobias. Apart from its therapeutic value PLR has one option of anyone wanting to regress through his/her PL so that s/he could take the right direction in the current one quickly and rightly so that he makes better use of the available time.

i believe in this a lot.the most perfect example for this is my kid sister.she was born in india and we moved to the middle east when she was just past 1.when she was uttering her first words, she kept telling us about a bridge and from her actions we understood she's referring to a suspended bridge, about a place called Calcutta(mind you she was just a year and a half and there was no chance whatsoever about her knowing about such a place...and she hadn't even started saying her own name!)and about "a very big woman with a flower raised high".this is something that we didn't understand.once we were out shopping and suddenly my baby sis stopped in her tracks in front of a hoarding and pointing her little hand towards it,she told us,"this is the lady i told you"...we stood there gaping at the pic.it was none else but the Statue of Liberty!

Nothing else makes any sense to me. It's hard to believe in God and the traditional church idea that you are born and then if you are good you go to Heaven and if you are bad you go to Hell. Hardly seems fair when some of us have much easier lives and many more advantages. Since some of us start out so far behind others of us it really isn't a fair race is it?

I do believe in reincarnation. I think its true though there are scientific findings but they call this as one of the paranormal sciences. I don't know what kind of life that I have lived in my past life but I am keen to know but don't really know how even if there are professionals saying that they can help you remember your past lives with regression but their fees are very expensive. Your early experiences when you were a kid, I have read something relative to that in a book with reincarnation though in the book, the kid had proved it to her parents she was correct with what she was saying as she and her parents went to the place where she used to "live". Its kind of horrible but I think its really true. Thats why I don't do anything against to a person so that I won't have a bad karma or meet that person again in my next life.

I did know that reincarnation was actually in the bible but was removed. The bible is very distorted and was written by man so I don't consider it that reliable but that is just me. I don't feel strongly about feeling like I've lived a past life. I mean, I guess it's possible but I don't have any memories or anything that would suggest to me that I have lived a past life. But I'm not ruling anything out.

while I think I had a "past life" I do not believe in reincarnation at all but rather my past life is what my present life has sprung out of. hopefully, I have bettered my person and in that sense seperated from my past... but still it is all truly one life/spirit.

the concept of karma, reincarnation and past life is very interesting for me. I want to believe I have a past life but do not really take it seriously. if i have a past life then it's great, if i don't then it is alright also. i just hope i am happy and well in both past and present life.
