How can you detect if a girl like you or not?

So, I really don't want to misunderstood the signal, and misinterpret it something romantic if it is not. How can you detect the signal if a girl like you or not? What are the general symptoms, or the general sign of them? What if a girl simply treat you just like a friend, would the symptom of romantically liking you the same?

A lot can be told by looking at a person's eyes and smile, their body language and tone of voice when they are with you. The best way of all to know is to ask her out or voice your feelings and ask her about her feelings for you: friendly or romantic?
