My father has passed. I miss him very much and on father's day I will be thinking of him all day long. If I had the chance I would tell him how much I loved him and how he was my hero! Not just because he fought in a war, but because of all the things he represented in the way he lead his life. So what will you or would you say to your dad on fathers day?

My father, my best buddy, also passed away. If I had a chance to talk to him once more it would be to tell him how much I loved him. He was a great man. My dad was one of those people everyone liked. Friendly, outgoing and just a good man. I was a lucky little girl, teenager and adult to have such a special man in my life for the length of time he was here. I miss him.

I am my fathers caregiver so I see him each and every single day.
Ugghh! (j/k) LOL
But I ewill remind him that I care for him and love him a lot.
He will say "whatever" but I said it is the point in my mind.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

my father also passed away.. i was going to say that i would tell him thanks for nothing.. but i guess thats not true. he did help teach me right from wrong, the basics in life. but then.. as i got older.. he taught me.. to not trust men, how to have a low self esteem.. among other things i guess.. so i guess it wasn't nothing i would thank him for.. i would thank him for a few years of heartache, and showing me that if you really need to depend on someone, and survive, you'd better be able to rely on your own self.

Hi Jill, It is lovely to hear that you had such a good relationship with your dad and will be thinking of him on this day. I won't be saying a lot to my dad as he is in Thailand for three months and we are not really that close but if he was still in England I would just probably send him a humourous card. Huggles. Ellie :D

The only person I celebrate Father's Day with is my husband.
I never had a dad growing up. I had men that were father type figures, but none were so close that I would give them Father's Day gifts or anything like that.
There was one man close enough that I wanted to ask him to walk me down the aisle, but he was too sick when I got married. I might occasionally call him my dad, but that's only because it's easier than explaining the true relationship between us. He is passed now too, but even if he were still alive, I would not celebrate Father's Day with him.
So it's just my hubby.
Sorry about your dad though.

Fathers Days these days centers around my hubby. Still in the planning stages here. My 6 yr old daughter will probably make a card. my 6 month old son will probably smile and drool on daddy! I sadly don't have much of a relationship with my father, so I am glad my kids do.

If I could talk to him without crying, if he would just call me, I would tell him that despite everything. Despite my trying to hate him, to despise him, to pretend he does not even exist. Despite all of that, I couldn't. Despite years of not wanting to love him, I haven;t been able to stop. Despite knowing how he treats my neice and nephew, I am still glad he is alive. Despite every horrible thing he has ever said or done or thought, despite the fact that he can live his life happily ignoring his children and grandchildren (except when it might benifit him) I still love him.
Dang ya'll I didn;t mean to cry but I am anyway. Thanks for letting me share.

I'm not close to my dad but I want to thank him for being patient w/ me even if i'm stubborn. I want to thank him for everything, tell him i'm sorry 4 the times when I was wrong. I'll also tell him that i'm lucky to be his daughter & that i'm so proud of him. Lastly, i'll hug him and tell him that I love him that even if I die & live again, I would still want to have a dad like him.
Advance happy father's day to all!
