What do you suggest I do in this situation?

My iPod ( a 40gb, the last of that model before they started in with the video screens) battery is getting weaker, and it is not as useful to me as it used to be. I LOVE this iPod, love its capacity, love everything about it. But the battery is a problem now. I am hesitant about getting a video iPod because I am thinking it will wear the battery out all the faster. But a new battery for the old iPod is about US$100.
Do you recommend I:
a) buy a new iPod
b) replace this iPod's battery
c) use the portable iPod pack for long journeys and get a new Shuffle for use around town
Which option do you think is best?

use your mylot money to buy a new battery!
there is no right or wrong here, just a matter of your preference. You get to decide!

I would just buy a new iPod, I'm sure they made the battery to suit the video iPod so it will able to handle watching videos etc
