Rottweilers

I agree. Rottweilers are great dogs. And I've also always heard that they are good for children. Any dog, regardless of size or breed, can be vicious. But, Rottweilers, because of their size and strength, can be far more dangerous. That doesn't mean they are bad dogs though. It all depends on how they are raised and whether or not they receive the proper balance of exercise, discipline, and affection. I think everyone who has a dog should watch Cesar Milan's show THE DOG WHISPERER or read his books. He shows you that dogs really can be man's best friend.

A dog is however they are taught. I don't think any dog is bad based on it's breed. They can be very sweet and protective dogs. Rottweilers are also naturally intelligent. People train them to live up to that reputation and that is sad.

my friend has a rottweiler - they can be really sweet, I think people often keep them as guard dogs or think having a mean dog makes them hard and train them to be aggressive.
