ok i am 31 and i having been having a hard time loosing weight. i have been the same weight now for over a year, even with dieting and exercise i cant seem to shed any of the weight. i have just went threw physical therepy for my knees as they are not the greatest. so i talked to my doctor and we went over everything i do during the day and what i eat. well she decided because according to my bmi and the the "chart" i am considered to be obese, so she put me on this medication called meridia. i start it today and i did look it up online but i was wondering if anyone out here has taken that or has known anyone that has taken it and if it was affective? thanks

HI, if you stay on the same weight but you are not over weight then it is great for you already and why you still want to loose weight? If you are over weight then it is different.
About that kind of medicine, I have no idea... you should ask your doctor about it before you take it. It is not too bad but I just cant believe in pill. Sometimes, you have a big bone, so it doesn't matter how much you exercise, it still the same thing. Like me, I weight 105lbs for years and I want to loose some more but it doesn't matter what I did, I still at 105lbs. Now, I give up as long as I stay in shape

I am 5'1 and I weighed 175 so I was 45 pounds over weight. I used to be at 105 before I had my kids..lol.. But anyway I did look it up and talk to the doc about this pill and well it is just an appatite surpressor so that is good as long as I keep exersicing I should be fine. But she has me coming back once a month to monitor my blood pressure and stuff that is ok. but I have been taking this now for almost 3 weeks and I have lost 15 pounds. I am so happy I found something that is working. and I have been still exersicing I even started to go on bike rides with my kids on a daily basis, I will continue to do that as long as the wheather is good. Pretty soon (well in November) it will be snowing so there goes the bike riding but that is ok I have a bowflex to work on... thanks for the reply.
