Star Trek. A friend recommended it to me. I was skeptical at first because as far as i know, from old Star Trek films and series, their a bit boring and too technical for me. I saw the cast and they're like the younger version so i gave it a go. The first ten minutes made me say "This is a lot better than Star Wars!". That's just for me personally. The movie was action-packed from start to finish.

I am also being skeptikal about the new Star Trek so I still have not watched it...was a bit afraid that it will be just an ordinary commercial Hollywood flick with all the cliches you can ever come up with for the genre...but I think I will reconsider it and watch the film at some point soon, if others here are saying it is good enough.

This is a really good discussion because watching movies is a good way to pass the time when you are bored, and it is always fun to snuggle up with the one you love to watch a good movie when it is cold outside or raining, and I am sure that different people have different types of movies that they prefer to watch,so I am sure that different people watch different movies,so not a lot of people will have seen the same movie, and if they have then all the people who saw it might not have liked it for one reason or another, and me and my fiance do not watch movies that often because we are usually busy making money, since we are planning our wedding which is set for September, and there is still so much left to buy,but the last movie we watched was X-men Origins Wolverine, and it was a really good movie, especially if you like X-men movies, even though it does not follow the comic books when it comes to how Wolverine got his claws, but all it was a good movie, especially since it also has Cyclops and Gambit in it,have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

That is cool that movies are never for you, that they are something to pass the time, and that they are essential, and I think everyone loves a good movie at some point even if it is only on rare occasions, have a great day, good luck with your life and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

I watched 'Kaidan' (aka 'Ghost Stories') by Masaki Kobayashi. It is a sequence of 4 short horror films, based on some short stories. A really impressive work. Something like 'The Shining'/'Eraserhead'. With no gore at all, but both scary and beautiful in sense of visuals and sound/music. Really great Japanese horror, recomment it to anyone who likes intellectual surralistic horror films.

Star Trek - no, it's not old, with laughable special effects and great acting. Not to mention the geek-babble and focus on science and space exploration. It's been revolutionized for both normal people and Trekkies combined with a good plotline. Not to mention the captivating special effects and action scenes that have made it so appealing!
