How Big Was Your Wedding Reception/Party ???

I have been attending some really big wedding receptions in a hotel ballroom, with very expensive wedding gown and tuxedo, foods, accessories, decorations, etc. They also invited more than 500 guests and rent an expensive wedding car such as Mercedes and BMW. But I also like to attend a small but meaningful wedding reception that take place in the bride/groom house with budget wedding gown and tuxedo, a few guests, and home-made foods. This kind of wedding feel more sacred to me somehow. What about you, how big was your wedding reception/party?? How many guests did you invite?? Where did it take place, house or hotel ??? And for you whom is not married, how big is your wedding going to be ???

hello. am proud to say that the reception that followed my civil wedding was almost like $53 or about 2,500 php. we just fed our marriage's godparents which happened to be 3 pairs. you see my husband and i eloped and we are really both alone (no relatives) in the place where we were staying so...

I didn't have big wedding party either. But I think small wedding ceremony is good enough as long as it's sacred and meaningful to the couples. Thanks for the response.

My wedding party had around 600 guests. It is a common thing in my place, our wedding parties are really big. My wedding was the first one in my generation in our family, so we have celebrated it well. You made me think about that nice event.

We invited Almost 350 persons. We reserved for 320 pax at the reception site and 322 came. LOL! We didn't pay for the extra 2 people anymore. My husband's side is really big and we (including our parents) really have a lot of friends so therefore, there goes all those numbers. Surprisingly, we had a blast on our wedding day.

We had four people in our wedding party, not including ourselves, and had close to 200 people in attendance. Our reception was held at a resort. I think that what every works for the couple without the two of them going in to major dept is great for them.
