Am I going through my second childhood?

I just realized that for the past month or so I've been downloading movies from the fifties. A lot of westons and musicals, and then watching these movies after around fifty years. What's more I'm enjoying them more than current movies. Do you think I'm going throuh my second childhood? After all, I'm having a great time reliving those wonderful Saturday matinees that I went to with my friends. I would love to your opinion. Oh, must go and watch Broken Arrow now, bye.

If you enjoy it, then all the more you should continue. I have heard of mid-life crisis, but I know your case here is not.. I do have some movies in mind from my childhood that I'd love to search on the net and watch. I can easily get addicted. I know because I've tried... Happy watching, bro..

Hey zed, it's so easy to download torrents nowadays, you can get nearly anything, music, games, and the fifty year old movies that I love. You have a great day!

Nah, I don't think so, maybe you're just getting nostalgic is all :) But I do love to watch those old movies, they talk of an era long gone. of good quality movies that exudes elegance of the films.

Hey chaime, thank you for responding. Nostalgic is the word I was looking for when I started this discussion. Thanks!

Going back to the time we were happy is normal and very natural. I always reflect the time back for 70's when I was having time of my life....everything was the best in 70'...

Hi polachicago, funny you should say that. Things that I'd forgotten many years ago, like the movie Oklahoma, I remember I was only fifteen, and went with my mother and father, and we all had a great night. I think that's was the only time we went together. My older brother didn't want to go.

No, it just reflects how crudely built the present day movie is. A total shift from cultural reflection to glitzy names and special effects. You'll probably find that the love of fifties movies just sticks to you. I personally love Arsenic and Old Lace.

Childhood is not about watching movies or listening to music. You cannot get back the innocence of heart back how much hard you try.In your case i think you are going through a nostalgic feeling of your childhood. You miss your friends and want to go back to old happy days. But it wont be that easy.

You obviously haven't heard the expression "he's in his second childhood.' This is a commonly used English exression when someone is enjoying something they used to do when they were a kid. It has nothing to do with children's innocence or missing friends from that time. It can be nostalgic, and remind you of friends and good times from the past.

you're just reliving your past...I do that as well, I was born in the 90's and sometimes i'll find old cartoons that i used to watch back in the day because it reminds me of the "good ole days" lol back before taxes, work, and stress

It's great to remember things from the past, and movies and music are great ways to do this.
