Rome - Do you know this wonderful city?

I was born in Rome, I lived there until 1992 and I have all my family there. I love Rome, I know it very well... i also worked in a travel agency that organized sightseeing tours. there are lots of beautiful monuments to be visited. If one day you will go to Rome, which will be the first thing you will visit? and why?

Hows Rome no need to tell I know its faboulous and I have read alot about it, I was wondering if ever I could be there and meed desire! Pl send me some postcards!

I really love Italy and have been to a few places but I haven't been to Rome yet. I could get a cheap flight there but accommodation there is really expensive. I would really like to take my oldest son there because he is fascinated by history. one of the topics he is extremely interested in is the Romans. I would do a walking route first of all to see and take photos of some of the most attractive looking buildings. That way I would get a superb idea of other sights to view over the following few days.
