what will you select : friendship or love?

It probably varies personally. Assuming there are no ways to bypass the restrictions of the question (haha), people probably would be inclined to choose the greater love. According to C.S. Lewis' book, there are Four Loves. Here they are, in order of ranked importance (I'm not too sure about the general accuracy of this). 1. agape - divine, unconditional, self-sacrificing, active, volitional and thoughtful love. (God's love for humanity, for instance) 2. storge - natural affection, applying to family love (love of a parent toward a child). In social psychology, storge is the form of love between friends. The desire for exceptional friends to care compassionately for one another. 3. philia - mutual affection in relationships formed. Divided into three types by Aristotle: friendships of utility (shallow; between a buyer and seller, for instance); friendships of pleasure (based on pure delight in the company of other people); and the highest form of philia, friendships of the good (ones where both friends enjoy each other's characters). 4. eros - passionate love, with sensual desire and longing. Therefore, as shown above, it depends on the depth of the relationships between you (the persona in the scenario) and the friend, and you and the true love. Personally, I would be stuck because both my best friend and love would share about the same level of affection with me - I would characterize it as a cross between storge and philia. I might, being slightly biased, choose my true love, though. I don't know about this. I'm glad I'm not in such a situation! :)

Hi there amitnaik! Good day to you! I think if I will choose between friendship and love, regardless of what I choose, both principles of friendship and love is affected. I mean, if you want to have a good friendship with someone, you should and have love for that person right? And I think if you love a person, you care for him or her with the principle of friendship right? So I think choosing one is not enough. But if I really have to choose one amitnaik, I will choose friendship. Because in friendship, we can always love that friend and always care for them. So there amitnaik. Happy myLotting to you! :)

in such a situation i would jump into the water and will not try to swim out but drown myself and die. both these people are special in my life. both have their importance and it would be very hard to sacrifice one for the other. in that case i owuld be better if i die before the special people in my life die. life would mean nothing without anyone of these two.
