Does anyone here know anything about repairing direct tv,we had a big electrical storm here that seemed to knock out our service. We have it on two tv's. We since have restored the service in the bedroom, but now the living room tv won't come back on, we went through the troubleshooting and nothing worked. This was originally installed through our phone service, my boyfriend thinks that the tuner was somehow affiliated with the phone service, which is suspended at this time. Does anyone have an idea how we can get our TV back on? We are only using our cells at this time, we aren't planning on getting the landline reconnected yet.

I suggest you call DirecTv then they can send a signal to the box and that should get it back on. Or they may need to send a tech out to look at it. Since you said you did troubleshooting only thing I can suggest is call Directv.

We did that already. That is who we did the troubleshooting with.
They weren't all that helpful. Thanks for your response. I hope we can get it resolved.
