Hi there, A few years back I went to an Indian restaurant and tried "navratan korma" Not sure if I spelled that right. It is now my favorite, unfortunately, I seldom have the money to go out to eat, and it's a long drive to the restaurant as well. I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to post the recipe for this dish, or similar Indian dishes. thank you much!

Hi CJgirly, Navratan Korma is a vegetable curry which I think will be difficult to make. Checkout www.indianfoodforever.com. They have a recipe in their vegetarian section. I hope you are successful. Maybe your local Asian shop could help with a pack of prepared mixed spices.

hi it is also one of my favourite recipe .u spelled it correct and this recipe is made by 9 types of vegetables, nuts and fruits which gives recipe a slight sweet taste .so navratan means 9 types of grains or vegetables which is a moghalai crusine .u can take 9 varieties - potatoes, carrots, green peas, french beans, cauliflower, capsicum, cabbage, bottle gourd, cluster beans ,peas or any vegetable u like but should be 9 varieties.korma means recipe made with milk or curd which gives gravy to the curry.
in that recipe u should add tamoto purie(paste) ,paneer and milk .u can also add nuts like cashewnuts and raisins.
navratan korma is a curry recipe which u can take with any rice or roti(indian bread)items like kulcha, parata, naan etc .
