Do traffic sites really help in earning you online?

Hi ,
I have come across several traffic sites on the web that promise to divert traffic to our PTC(Paid To click) websites and aid us in earning by that. Are any of these traffic sites really genuine or are they all scams?
Why do they want to help us if we just sign in? What exactly is the catch with these websites?
What do they get in return if we sign up?
Everyone would have come across atleast one traffic website, if you are interested to earn online.
Do share your views and experiences and please let everyone know if these websites are genuine or just a waste of time.

I the past few months I had been testing some traffic exchange system but none of them give me as much as I expected.. I think that those are a huge waste of time, because I work harder to keep up with the things that the traffic exchange page ask, but at the end, the traffic obtained is useless because 99% of the people that access are looking for increase their traffic and doesn't matter what you are showing at the referer link you are giving to

I like one in particular, but I don't look to get paid from it directly. I use it mainly for the referrals it gets me for my other programs.

I don't know, i have encountered discussion that involves helping your site earn money by using traffic sites. i have only heard once that it helps you gain viewers but my friend who has a blog and using a traffic site told me that it's not making any difference.. how ever i think he's also focused on earning money there/

I have been doing Traffic Exchanges for quite some time, and my results have gotten better over time. It depends completely on experience and the kind of Traffic Exchange you are using. Some of them simply work by surfing and exposing your links, while others require you to make contacts and develop connections.
As for me, when i first started i struggled to get a single referral, and now i am getting a decent amount each month.

I have come across many also, they say that they are suppose to help you, but i see no helping going on. I thik they all are scams. Maybe the catch is that as many people as they get to sign up the more they get paid. in the long run, the traffic sites are A WASTE OF TIME!
