Let's see, are you able to do man's work? starting the lawn mower to cut the grass? cleaning and waxing the car? shoveling? raking? repairing broken/damaged stuff? etc I have done that all before and of course they are not an easy task for me! Especially I found I have a hard time starting the lawn mower, my arms are just not strong, I need to pull really hard to start it, everytime after I started it, my arms are wicked tired... so do raking and shoveling, my arms get tired easy, I think we can see how big a difference between man and woman, man is just stronger than woman! Do you agree this topic?

I feel as though I can do a mans job and more. The only reason women don't do it is because its manual labor and you have the potiental to get dirty. before I got married I mowed my moms lawn, I put up window treatments, and I polished and waxed my own cars I was even handy with tools when it came to fixing things around the house. I even changed my own oil in my car once. Im not manly, as a matter of fact I am quite girly but I was just raised without a man around and learned to do manly things :o)

But to add. I do feel men have more upper body strength then women and they are able to endure more physical labor for some...

I disagree. I think it's just all in how physically fit you are. I was one of the first females to wrestle on the boys team in school. I competed for 7 years and won far more then I lost. I was also trained to do that though. I think it just depends on what you're used to doing. We may not develope muscle in the same manner as a man does, but we still have it. The size is no indication of strength in all honesty. If you're not used to doing something it's going to make you sore regaurdless of your gender.

Hello mermaidivy, I think I have to agree with it. Men are stronger than women and no doubt about it. I can't put myself as a good example as my rheumatoid arthritis really makes me weak. My hands are very weak and whenever I need to do something which requires the strength of your hands, I will just give up easily. My husband is extra stronger than usual men that he always spoil a thing whenever I ask him for help...

i think physically, men are stronger than women because of their muscle mass. but that doesn't mean that women can't do chores that require hard physical labour. i think women are blessed with more endurance power and a stronger mental makeup which makes them emotionally strong. moreover, such things are also a matter of habit.

Yeah it's true they are big, dumb, strong brutes and we love em for it j/k....I like to work on cars, it started as more of a need (cash poor) then I actually enjoyed it. The feeling of accomplishment is outstanding; however, I often have a hard time breaking bolts...it will take me 3 times as long, sometimes I even have to ask for help than even the weakest man. I'm no stranger to lifting weights either, but I've come to grips with it. I just think its a difference in out genetic makeup...we're smarter - they're stronger LOL I'm kidding guys - don't hate me.

Yes, men are physically stronger than women. I am an athletic woman, I am considered strong enough. I can carry heavy loads like a man, do some carpentry works except for one thing, I can't cut the wood with a saw. I can hammer nails and other stuffs except cutting wood, I don't know why. Men are naturally muscular and strong unlike women due to their testosterones.

Men might be stronger then women in some instances. As for all the things you listed, I have done them and still do, without any trouble. I have shoveled a long driveway with 12 inches of snow, I have run a weedeater, lawnmower, I do my own vehicle. However, unlike most women, I'm a little different. I also have run a chainsaw, used a pulaski (axe used in firefighting) I have handled the nozzle on a fire hose. You see I am a wildland firefighter, so I stay in good shape, and I use my arms and legs a lot. I lift 50lbs with no problem. So, while men might be stronger than women in some ways. They are not stronger than all women.

Males have more muscle mass than females so, generally, most men are stronger than most women. I don't believe that I could ever be as strong as the average man but that doesn't mean that I'm not capable of doing many of the things that men do. I have had the same problem with starting a lawn mower...and kick starting a motorcycle...but years ago when I worked for a printing company, my female coworkers and I could operate and maintain our machines as good as the men did. With modern machinery physical strength isn't always necessary so training is the most important key to ones ability to do the job.

Well, in some way they are Physically Strong, that's one of their uses, otherwise why would ask my hubby to life this and that or carry that or this. there are various aspects that Women and Men are stronger. but there's one thing that Separates us and probably consider us stronger than men, it's the 9 month Pregnancy Torture, simply my hubby couldn't image being in that situation..

Yes, men are physically stronger than women. In fact, this has been the reason why so many cultures oppressed women in the past when the livelihood of people depended on work that requires strength. This era was when plowing was the main livelihood of most cultures. Feminism only began when more efficient machines were developed and physical strength ceased to be the emphasis in making a living.

In most of the time since ancient times, men are stronger physically. But in today's era, women are more becoming to accept the type of physical jobs and are earning their right. That is not only men can do it women also do.

Yes generally men are stronger then woman because of how our bodies are buildt. I can say I do more yard work then anyone else around here. I can fix a window, put new glass in (looks odd, but gets the job done). I've found some physicall challenges, but most of the times with the right tools - I'm just fine. Mowing, raking, moving dirty aren't a big deal for me. I do have trouble starting the chainsaw and it does get a bit heavy after a while, but frequent breaks I can still do it. I lot of it is not what you do, but how you do it. Leverage is the key. I'm stronger then most woman my age, but enjoy physical labor. It keeps me fit and keeps the place looking nice.
