Sportsmanship is the ability to act civil and without malice whether you win or lose a game. Lebron James refused to shake hands or even acknowledge the other team or the press after his Cleveland Cavaliers were ousted from the playoffs. The Cleveland Cavaliers were the overwhelming favorites to win the Eastern conference finals. Their upset at the hands of the Orlando Majic left an incredible bad taste for the city of Cleveland and the league MVP, lebron James.
many have chidded Lebron as childish and immature for his actions but I believe the detractors are going too far in trying to give a bad rap to Lebron. In the heat of the moment not talking was one of the smartest things he could have done. If he had talked at that inopportune time maybe just maybe he would have said something that he really did not wish to say, like his teammates or his coach are chokers and I can't win with them. Instead of getting into the blame game, Lebron just headed for the exits a little early and denide fans, press and everyone else thirst for controversy.
Lebron is not the first to have been attached with the label of unsportsmanlike. Throughout history many players and coaches have had the label unsportsmanlike but were not highlighted by the press. Woody Hayes, Bobby Knight and Ty Cobb come to mind.
Lebron does not like losing and I dont see nothing wrong with that.

I fully agree with you!
He probably already has done very well to control his temper and all, and that already, is a show of James' sportsmanship.
He does not like losing, like what you pointed out. Such people have blood in them to win, to always want to win. This passion and desire to win, actually, aren't they exactly what we're looking for in sports today?
In soccer, we have rooney, whose raging temper depicts clearly his never-say-die and always hungry to win attitude. And how many times have we criticised him for his poor discipline, but look on with envy at his drive and passion, and how he inspires the team?
Everyone's tolerance is different, what more these sportsmen who trained their hearts and guts out for success and victory? Lebron, in my opinion, has already done very well, given the fire burning on in him.
