Being in a movie or tv show

I often dream of getting a small part in a movie or tv show. I see ads in our paper sometimes when they're looking for extras in movies or shows they film here. I'm in Pittsburgh, PA, and they've been doing a lot of movies here lately. Also, there's gonna be a tv show coming up call "Three Rivers" being done here. It would be so exciting to be part of the atmosphere! But, every time I want to call or apply to do it, I chicken out...WHY do I do that??? I think I could make this simple dream come true!!! HELP!!

Yeah, just go for it. Nothing happens to the chicken who sits and sits and waits and waits. Successful people have started out trying. Rejects are normal, and should be treated that way. So just go for it. And who knows? We might see you before we know it, even if we don't know you are. Oh cool. :))
