An Easy Way to Kill your mylot star rating!

Shoot, I do nothing, and mine does nothing but maybe drop a point or two, then go up a point or two. Anyway, I have had this star from the beginning, and it has really grown on me. I would like to have a better one thought, but it isn't going to hapen I am afraid. There are just way to many users that give negatives just becausee they don't agree with something that was aaid, and to me that is so wrong. If they can't give a postitive when it is earned, then they shouldn't give anything. I neer rate anyone with a negative. We are all here to make money, and from what I understand teh lower the rating the lower the pay, and I have a goal I am trying to get, but some in here just aren't letting that happen. They seem to get their knickers in a twist and before you know it, a negatie. On well, I guess it is their loss, as they are doing it to be mean, and that shouldn't be tolerated. I will stay here no matter what though as I love this place. I am here to stay. Good luck, and happy mylotting.

I know exactly what you mean :( i was a 10 for a few minutes one time lol....then i started getting involved in political discussions, and even though I posted well written responses, the people who didn't agree with me obviously gave me a negative rating, and that makes me mad personally because there have only been two people that i gave negative ratings to, one person who posted a link to a racist site, and one person who used profanity,,,so now im a plain white 7 :(

That is why I tend to stay away from discussing anything that could possible "irk" people. lol I sometimes wish stars didn't exist here on Mylot. It doesen't allow us to feel free to write our real opinion sometimes. Also, people don't always rate fairly. Overall it's just a bad idea.

I refuse to give negative ratings because I disagree. I think that undermines the quality of the site and the quality of discussion, you know what I mean? I know that others do it. I just won't play that game. I'll give negative ratings to posts or responses that are rude, inflammatory, pointless, etc.
