I Dare You

A while ago, Austrian skier Rainier Schoenfelder skied naked down the Swiss Lauberhorn ski course naked on a dare after losing a bet with his doctor. What is the worst thing you've had to do because of a dare? I'm gussing it wasn't as bad as going down a ski course naked. But hey, maybe you all will surprise me.

well, no I haven't skiied down a hill naked. But, I did let the kids in Mike's youth group talk me into going with them to play a joke on him one night. He was in a meeting at the church, and they wanted to get him for his birthday. So we took toilet paper, and saran wrap and rolled his car while he was in his meeting. To this day, he doesn't know that I was with them.

I have learn the painful way not to dare. When I was small, I lost to my brother to force big fence and end up with big would in my arm. I don't dare with anyone even for one cent.....

I don't remember ever doing anything on a dare, so if I did, it couldn't have been much. There were some crazy kids in my old Chicago neighborhood who would set off fireworks in garabage cans, and climb up on to a roof and then hang off the edge by their hands and then let themselves fall. They would do it on a dare, but really they would just do it because they thought it was cool.

I really don't do much on a dare except when I was little she dared me to roller skate down our driveway which had an incline......and so I did...broke my arm when I fell as I hit it on the pavement...maybe that's why I don't do much on a dare! I never would have followed through though skiing naked! LOL

Unless he is an exhibitionist this must have been embarrassing for him to say the least. I have been wracking my brians but I cannot remember either betting or do something silly or dangerous because someone dared me to do it. I wish that I had a marvellous story to tell but nothing has come to mind. Have a great weekend

My mom impressed me very seriously not to take dares. Therefore, I never found myself skiing naked, I may have also missed out on some fun, who knows. This may get to be a funny discussion.

LOL that's an interesting dare. I was never really taken in dares even as a kid.maybe a time or other, but as a rule I seemed to be pretty much immune to the pull of a good dare. I remember that my most common answer was something like " do what? Sure, you do it, I'll be applauding on the side lines " Don't take me wrong, I did a lot of silly things but they had to be my own idea, not a dare LOL

I am not that daring... so i have let anyone dare me into something that is quite as adventurous... or slightly like that ever in my life... i can be quite the scaredy cat... or i know a friend who walked in the street with his pants zip down because of a stupid bet... quite funny... but a little humiliating...

Hello AmbiePam. This is not new to me because more than a decade ago one of the citizens in Guangzhou City had a bet with his friends that he would be given five hundred RMB for running through the whole street and he did to get that amount of money. It was a large sum of money back then, but of course not now. lol

I don't recall ever doing anything on a dare before. I was the wimp that always picked Truth in the game of Truth or Dare cause I was afraid of what I would get dared to do. I would NOT be skiing down a hill naked for sure.

That is way too funny! I can just imagine the comments that came along with the dare! No, i've never taken a dare on. I'm not silly enough to partake in such irresponsible activities

My dad was dared about 20 years ago to perm his hair. The guy said he'd pay for the perm, and give him 100 dollars if he did it. My dad was going to, because he could care less about his hair. It's always been short, so he figured it would make no difference. But my mom put her foot down and wouldn't let him. lol

LOL. poor dad! Missing out on his $100! I think your mum was smart though, as it would have more than likely been her washing his hair afterwards!

I did some pretty crazy things in my teens, stuff that if my son had done I would have locked him up until he was of age. Thanksfully I lived to tell about it, my folks never found out (at the time). However, and I'm ashamed now to say, I didn't do stuff on a dare. It just seemed like the fun thing to do at the time. I notice that you didn't tell us what you've done on a dare...come now. Tell us..

I didn't do too much. Probably the worst thing I did on a dare was infiltrate a college party when I was thirteen. I knew the guy who was having the party at his house (he was 25, a late college bloomer), but no way was he going to invite a thirteen year old. So an adult I knew (yep, an adult) dared me to try to get an invite to the party. So I called him up, put on a fake Southern accent (I'm kind of a good actess), told him I was a friend of a friend (I knew which of his friends to name) and "sweet talked" him. Sure enough, he invited me. And my friend and I showed up. It was a Halloween party... I should probably mention at thirteen I was 5'11 and didn't look much like a teenager.

You devil you! LOL. It helps to grow up near a college, doesn't it? I grew up in a 5 college area and they were an unending source of escapades. Those were the days.
