Personally I love Glen Duncan or Duncan Glen I always get his name mixed up as they're both first names to me! Particulary Love Remains by him, it's a very good story. I've taken into getting library books recently, although I've never thrown away a book I've read! I find it difficult to read again though.
Currently I'm reading "Immediate Action" by Andy McNab.

Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams, Ursula le Guin. I love sci-fi and fantasy. I have to read books twice, so I re-read. I notice I re-read books a year after reading the book the first time.

My favourite authors are JRR Tolkien, David Eddings, Anne Rice, Piers Anthony, Dan Brown, Amy Tan... mostly fantasy and fiction novels are the general books that i like to read. I sometimes re-read, depending... but recently i come across too many good books that I could not find enough time to read all of them... so no time to re-read at the moment.
I am currently reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire... prior to this was The Magic of Recluce (fantasy)and Harry and the Half Blood Prince...

I usually try to collect the series of my favorite authors, and right now thats Laurell K Hamiltons Anita Blake and Merry Gentry Series, Christine Feehans Carpathian and seven sisters series, any of Nora Roberts books, the sookie stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, and the dresden files by Jim butcher. Other authors that I like a lot but do not collect are Stephen King and Amanda Ashley...could go on and on but you get the picture, lol. Romance, fantasy, sci fi, thriller, I like everything!

In reading over the posts in this thread, I have seen many of my favorite writers. Among them are Stephen King, Kay Hooper, Mary Higgins Clark, and Tami Hoag. I would have to add to those, Lisa Jackson, Heather Graham/Shannon Drake, Douglas Clegg, Tamara Thorne, and the list is just too long because I am always discovering new writers that I like. Mostly I gravitate toward psychological suspense, supernatural, mysteries, true crime, and horror books. Only recently have I read Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. I have to admit that I was hooked from the beginning and I loved the history aspect of it. If I really like a book, I keep it whether I re read it or not. I never know when I will be able to share that book with a friend. :)

I love Sylvia Browne's books. She is my favorite author.
I have reread books that I really enjoyed, like "Envy" and V.C. Andrews "Flowers in the Attic - Book of Shadows".
I like all genres except Horror because I like to read before bed and don't like nightmares!

I like to read once and discard , because I want to acquire as much knowledge and differnet persepectives so I read many differnet books. But sometimes its necessary to read the same book over to truly understand it.
